The Amanita Muscaria is perhaps the world’s best-known mushroom and the symbol of the mycological kingdom. It is a mycorrhizal fun- gus, capable of forming symbiotic relationships with forest plants through intricate networks hidden underground. These connections allow the exchange of nutrients and chemical signals essential to forest life.
Infrastructure such as bridges, roads, pipelines, wires and fibre-optic cables connect our cities, en- abling physical and IT connections. In this specific order of meaning, human and natural networks overlap without interruption.
In the same way, South Tyrol has shown itself to be a leader in environmental sustainability by increasingly realising the image of a region connected to nature: from the use of energy sources to public mobility strategies.
Seen from above, the mushroom’s cap is in the shape of a circle. As if on a turning wheel, the same image is repeated, gradually distinguishing itself from the previous one by a slight clockwise rotation of the subject, creating the illusion of movement.
